What the workflow problem is
A match score is a ranking aid. It compares available route, zone, laycan, quantity or DWT, cargo preference, confidence and freshness signals. A higher score means more of those represented signals align; it does not prove commercial or technical suitability.
What LaycanMatch supports
LaycanMatch ranks cargo for a saved vessel position and vessels for a saved cargo requirement. Results retain source-email access and can be revisited as new offers arrive.
Important product boundary
The score cannot evaluate information absent from the source, including counterparty risk, full vessel particulars, charter-party terms, freight expectations or voyage economics.
How to evaluate it
Create one known suitable pair and several deliberate negatives: wrong direction, expired laycan, insufficient DWT and stale offer. Confirm the ranking and inspect the source behind each result.
